I'm excited to begin a new role in my life as GPUUC's Faith Development Coordinator. My family and I have been coming to Granite Peak since my oldest was a tiny nursing baby. We’ve felt loved and welcomed by the congregation in all that time.

I've watched as my own children navigate the ideals of Unitarian Universalism and I'm eager to help be apart of that growth for them and the community. I have a BA in Elementary Education, with certifications in ESL, Special Education, Elementary Art and Early Childhood Education. I have taught at public schools in Texas and Arizona for 11 years. I studied at Northern Arizona University then moved shortly after to Texas. In Texas I taught prekindergarten through 3rd grade. We moved to Arizona in 2015 and I taught Special Education Preschool at Discovery Gardens in Prescott Unified before moving to Granite Mountain 2016 to teach Art. I'm loving my Art teaching position, and I hope to carry that enthusiasm over to Granite Peak too!

I’ve long wanted to have a more robust children’s population at Granite Peak. For a year and a half I ran a monthly play date with the goal of uniting families for a casual get together. I hope to continue a new and but similar tradition that will bring together current members and encourage new ones! I see GPUUC as a place for all families and I hope to entice more children to attend our wonderful faith development. I know there are families looking for a spiritual home and I would like to share ours with Prescott.
